Petrol Price Drop Expected Tonight: Global Oil Dip Brings Relief - Carr.pk

The government is likely to announce another reduction in petroleum prices starting January 16, continuing the relief trend driven by falling global crude oil rates.

Reports indicate that petrol prices could drop by Rs. 4.59 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) is expected to become cheaper by Rs. 2.70 per litre. Similarly, reductions of Rs. 1.82 and Rs. 2.08 per litre are anticipated for Kerosene oil and Light Diesel Oil, respectively.

This expected cut follows the relief provided in the last fortnight, when the government slashed petrol prices by Rs. 10.28 and diesel by Rs. 8.57 due to a slump in international markets. With global crude oil prices still on a downward trajectory, this consistent decline remains the primary driver of the likely price drop in the upcoming revision.

However, the final pricing details will be confirmed in OGRA’s notification at midnight tonight. To get the latest petrol price updates as soon as they are announced, keep following PakWheels on Google News.
