Rawalpindi Launches E-Challan for Traffic Violations - Carr.pk

The Rawalpindi e-Challan system is now active, aiming to make roads safer and enforce traffic laws strictly. Today, the city officially started using automated fines under the Safe City Project.

According to authorities, CCTV cameras installed across the city will capture traffic violations. Vehicle owners will receive an e-challan directly, along with photos of the violation and a code. Paying the fine within the given time is mandatory.

The system is linked to the Safe City Command and Control Centre. Automatic fines will be issued for breaking traffic signals, riding motorcycles without helmets, lane violations, and using mobile phones while driving. Vehicles with illegal or non-standard number plates will also be fined automatically.
