Seven Killed in Head-on Collision on Quetta-Taftan Highway
Seven people, including five women, were killed and four others sustained critical injuries on Tuesday in a head-on collision near the Yakmach area of Chagai district.
The accident occurred on the Quetta-Taftan National Highway when two vehicles traveling at high speeds collided head-on. Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after the crash to transport the victims to a local facility in Yakmach.
The deceased and the injured were later shifted to Prince Fahd Hospital in Dalbandin for further medical intervention. Hospital sources describe the condition of the four survivors as critical.
According to preliminary police investigations, the tragedy was caused by reckless speeding. Authorities have registered the incident and are conducting further inquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
